Tell me if u can understand this dream?

It started out as night time in my house. i was in my room on the computer when i decided to go to the pantry and get some food. i walked past my dad who was watching tv in the tv room (right next to the kitchen) and i went into the pantry to grab some food. all of a sudden, it gets overwhelmingly black and i can feel/hear a man's breathing. i grabbed a notebook and a pen because he started talking. i realized he was saying things about my brother and how he would kill him. then, i realized if i turned around, he would be right there. i ran out of the dark pantry and back to my dad screaming to get help that i thought aidan was going to get hurt and my dad doesnt even acknowledge my presence, simply stares into the tv screen, mindlessly hypnotized or something. i can hear my heart pounding @ this point and i run outside to my next door neighbor's house- all the nlights are off and i ring the doorbell seven times. i hear the breathing again and i know that man's coming for me. thats when i woke up. got any ideas as to wtf this means???? im still super scared to turn around @ night, or to look in the mirror because i keep thinking im gonna see this guy. is this an irrational fear- am i just being a wuss?
