Does anyone know how to add Google adsense or adwords to 1and1 UK hosted websites?

Ive tried to do it a few times, but 1and1 tell me that their websites don’t accept Javascript. This is plainly unsual as Im sure that this would reduce their business drastically and also Im sure Ive seen other sites hosted by 1and1 which have adsense on them! Any clue would be great…
